What is the authenticity of the supplication: "O Allah, I seek Your forgiveness for every sin my body committed with Your wellness or my ability attained through the favor of Your grace..." and is the reported narration from Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) authentic, and is it permissible to seek forgiveness with it?

This supplication has a weak chain of transmission due to an interruption therein. The wordings authentically reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, regarding seeking forgiveness are sufficient. Seeking forgiveness has immense benefits; it is a cause for good enjoyment in this world, and through it, Allah grants relief from every worry, an exit from every difficulty, and provision from where one does not expect.
