To what extent are the supplications mentioned from the the Prophet (peace be upon him) authentic, and what are the occasions for reciting them?

1. The supplication "O Allah, show me the truth as truth and grant me the ability to follow it..." is not a Hadith, but rather an authentic supplication narrated from the Salaf (pious predecessors).

2. The supplication "O Allah, fight the disbelievers who hinder from Your path..." is authentic and narrated. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, supplicated with it on the Day of Uhud, and it is also authentically reported from Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him.

3. The supplication "O Allah, Revealer of the Book, Mover of the clouds, and Defeater of the parties, defeat them and grant us victory over them" is authentic and narrated. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, supplicated with it when encountering the enemy.

4. The supplication "O Allah, humiliate polytheism and the polytheists" – we do not know of any origin for it from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, or the Salaf. However, its meaning is sound, and there is no harm in supplicating with it.

5. The supplication "O Allah, Your army cannot be defeated, and Your multitude cannot be overcome" was narrated with a similar wording from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, with a weak chain of transmission. However, its meaning is sound and is supported by Allah's saying: "And indeed, Our army - they will be the predominant."

6. The supplication "O Allah, You are the First, so there is nothing before You..." is authentic and firmly established from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
