What is the ruling on the supplication, "O Allah, take my hand in times of distress, and reveal to me the faces of truths," which has become widespread, but the questioner could not find a source for it?

The aforementioned supplication has not been reported in the books of Sunnah. There is no harm in supplicating with it, so long as it does not involve aggression, sin, or severance of kinship ties. However, supplication with ma’thur (reported) prayers is better.
