Are there specific conditions or qualifications for a guardian of an orphan? Is it permissible for guardianship to be through a trusted association in a country other than the home country, given the fear of being unable to continue? Is the permission of the parents required? Is it obligatory to inform the suitor if the guardianship is from one's personal funds?

Islam encourages sponsoring orphans and has promised a great reward for it. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "I and the guardian of the orphan will be in Paradise like this," and he gestured with his index and middle fingers. Sponsorship includes taking the orphan into one's home, spending on them, and raising them, or providing enough money for their needs. This can be achieved by donating to one of the organizations that sponsor orphans. Sponsorship only requires that you be an adult, of sound mind, and have legal disposal over your money. There is no need to inform your parents or fiancé, and it is better not to inform them to preserve sincerity. If you leave the country, continue the sponsorship if possible; if you are unable to, there is no sin upon you.
