How can I communicate with my maternal half-brother, while fearing the reaction of my mother who is characterized by tenderness and compassion?

This matter should be handled with wisdom, for reconciliation is among the greatest acts of worship, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, permitted lying for its sake. Use every method that brings them closer, such as informing each party of the other's desire for reconciliation or love for them, and trying to give each of them a gift in the name of the other. Contacting the brother is obligatory and can be achieved by any means of communication without traveling to him or informing the mother about it.
