The suckling that establishes حرمة (prohibition of marriage) and thereby confirms the prohibition of marriage is five full sucklings, according to the preponderant opinion. Based on this, it is permissible to marry the daughter of the woman who suckled you fewer than five times. However, many scholars have said that the prohibition is established by both little and much suckling. Therefore, it is more cautious to avoid marrying the aforementioned girl.
