What is the ruling on listening to and playing the so-called "Islamic songs" at weddings, especially those with musical rhythm, or those that have the rhythm of ordinary songs but their words are changed to praise the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) or carry the name of Allah?

There is no harm in using Islamic songs at weddings if they are free from forbidden elements in their lyrics or musical instruments, and do not involve imitation of the immoral. However, if they are mixed with music or musical instruments, or if their sounds resemble the sounds of musical instruments, then listening to them is forbidden. Rhythms or sound effects that produce sounds similar to musical instruments are forbidden, but if their sounds are distinct from them, they are permissible. This includes vocal rhythms produced by the singers themselves without musical instruments. Changing immoral songs into Islamic ones is permissible if their lyrics are changed to permissible ones, and they are not sung by a non-mahram (definition) woman or accompanied by music.
