What is the ruling on leaving two infant children (six months and one year and eight months old) with a caregiver to go to work, given that the husband is employed and their social status is moderate?

The fundamental principle is for a woman to remain in her home to raise her children and manage its affairs, due to the immense benefits and avoidance of numerous harms therein. She should not go out to work unless there is a necessity, while adhering to Islamic guidelines. It is permissible for her to hire a nanny under certain conditions. However, it must be emphasized that nothing compares to raising children, and leaving them to domestic helpers deprives children of the affection and emotional support essential for their guidance and instruction, which constitutes an injustice to them. Therefore, we advise raising and caring for children, and not leaving the home except out of necessity or a dire need, and not for the purpose of acquiring excess wealth or competing with the rich.
