Is it permissible to say "I cherish you" to a Christian person who shows affection and good treatment, intending that this person is honored by God and that showing kindness to him is considered a reward or could be a reason for his guidance?

A Muslim's saying "May Allah honor you" to a Christian is permissible if the reason for it is the Christian's good manners and kind treatment, provided that the Muslim still detests their disbelief. As for kissing and embracing a disbeliever, some scholars disliked it, while others prohibited it due to the affection it engenders, which is forbidden. Showing kindness to them and inviting them to Islam does not contradict detesting their disbelief.
