Is a young man obligated to spend on his father, who is well-off, knowing that the father did not help his son with marriage?

The father's maintenance becomes obligatory upon the son if the father is in need and does not have enough to sustain himself. However, if he possesses sufficient wealth, then maintenance is not obligatory upon the son. And if the father requests something from his son, the son should give it to him out of filial piety. It is not obligatory for the father to marry off his son.
