What is the ruling on a wife refusing her husband who does not pray, and how should she deal with his angry reaction and his demand for his conjugatory rights by force?

Neglecting prayer is a grave sin that may lead one out of the fold of Islam if done out of laziness. It definitively leads one out of the fold of Islam, by scholarly consensus, if done out of denial of its obligation. The wife must advise her husband who does not pray. If advice does not work, she should act according to Fatwa No. 32224.
