What is the ruling on writing verses from the Holy Qur'an in newspapers and magazines that are destined for the wastebasket?

It is wrong to prevent newspapers from publishing anything from the Qur’an for fear of its desecration. Rather, it is obligatory to educate people on how to deal with what contains the remembrance of Allah and His name, so that they preserve it from desecration. If they no longer need it, it must be destroyed by burning or disposal. As for someone who desecrates something containing the name of Allah, intending to insult the Sharia, he commits disbelief thereby.
