What is the ruling on taking a kitten from its mother before weaning in order to nurse it and care for it to make it tame, knowing that the mother is a predator and it is difficult to domesticate her young when they grow up?

Scholars differed on the ruling concerning the separation of young animals from their mothers before they become independent. Some are of the view that it is impermissible, analogizing it to human beings, and citing the Hadith (definition): "Whoever separates a mother from her child, Allah will separate him from his loved ones on the Day of Resurrection." Others hold the view that it is permissible specifically for animals. Al-Hattab commented that separation is a form of torture for the mother, and it is forbidden. Therefore, it is not permissible to separate a cat from its kittens.
