What should a resident in the Sultanate of Oman, who started fasting there a day after Jordan, and will then return to Jordan in the last ten days of Ramadan, do regarding his fasting and Eid, especially if that means he will only fast 28 days?

If the people of a town begin the Ramadan fast, then a Muslim must fast with them, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "The fast is the day you fast, the breaking of the fast is the day you break your fast, and the sacrifice is the day you sacrifice." However, if one moves to another country, they should fast, break their fast, and observe Eid with its people. If one fasts fewer than twenty-nine days, they are obligated to make up for the missing days, because a month is not less than twenty-nine days.
