The answer

Memorizing the entire Quran is not an obligation upon everyone, and failure to achieve this does not signify abandonment or Allah's wrath. However, neglecting this virtue might indicate a decline in commitment, as Allah Almighty says: "And whatever strikes you of disaster - it is because of what your hands have earned" and "That is because Allah would not change a favor which He had bestowed upon a people until they change what is within themselves." Sins deprive one of sustenance, so a person should review themselves, seek forgiveness, seek Allah's help, persevere, and not succumb to frustration, for Satan and the self call to idleness, and everything of value requires effort.
