Is it obligatory to complete the correction of verses for an Imam who threatens to call the police, or should one leave him?

Correcting the Imam when he errs in recitation is legislated. It may be obligatory if the error is in the Surah Al-Fatihah or if it alters the meaning. It is recommended in other cases. The Imam should not prevent the congregants from correcting him. If the Imam errs and does not accept correction, his matter should be referred to the competent authorities.
