What is the meaning of the trial of the grave, and is protection from it a guarantee of Paradise? And what is the indication of the blackness of the deceased's face and the yellowness of his feet, and is the blackness of the face considered among the signs of a bad end? And is the mother obliged not to leave her house throughout the mourning period (iddah), and is it permissible for her to go out for recreation?

Dying on a Friday is a sign of a good ending (husn al-khatimah). Texts have indicated that whoever dies on this day is protected from the trial and torment of the grave.

As for the salvation of those who are saved from the torment of the grave from the torment of the hereafter, its knowledge is with Allah. The grave is the first stage of the hereafter; whoever is saved from it will find what comes after easier, and whoever is not saved will find what comes after more severe.

The change in a deceased person's face has no relation to a bad or good ending. Its cause might be natural, and for this reason, scholars have recommended covering the deceased's face.

There is no harm for a woman observing 'iddah (waiting period) to leave her home during the day for a need. Some scholars even permit her to leave during the day even if not for a need, but she must not spend the night anywhere but in her home.
