Is it permissible for me to benefit from the mistakenly disbursed allowance after discontinuing my studies, and what should I do with it?

You must inform the college of your discontinuation of studies and your receipt of allowances for months during which you did not study, and seek their fatwa regarding it.

If they inform you that you are entitled to it, then you may take it. But if they inform you that it was sent in error, then you must return it.

However, if you predominantly believe that they will misuse it or take it for themselves, then do not return it. Instead, spend it on general public expenditures.
