Is it permissible to transport unlawful goods for a wage?

If you know that the goods are forbidden, like "alcohol," then it is not permissible for you to transport them, due to the prohibition of aiding in sin. This is because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed the drinker of alcohol, its presser, its extractor, its carrier, the one for whom it is carried, its seller, and its buyer. If you transport forbidden goods, then you must dispose of the earnings by spending them on Muslim welfare and giving them to the poor and needy. They should not be returned to their owner, because he has received the benefit in exchange for them. As for what you know to be permissible, or if you are ignorant of its state and do not predominantly suspect it to be forbidden, then there is no harm in transporting it and taking a wage for it.
