What is the ruling on a young man residing abroad proposing to a girl from his home country, knowing that the marriage will be delayed for one year, and the husband will visit his wife during official holidays until the girl finishes her studies? Do you support this idea, and what is your advice?

There is no harm in marriage if both parties agree that the wife will leave her husband and they will meet during holidays. It is preferable for the wife to move to the husband's country of residence to complete her studies there.

Until the marriage can be facilitated, one must be patient, hold fast to Allah, strive to lower the gaze, stay away from places of temptation, associate with the righteous, and occupy one's time with beneficial deeds. It should be noted that a suitor is a stranger to his fiancée as long as the marriage contract has not been concluded.
