Authentic hadiths have mentioned Uthman's virtues and merits, among them that the angels are shy of him, and the Prophet's glad tidings to him of Paradise along with a trial he would face. He was killed by wicked transgressors, not by the Companions. He was buried in Hash Kawkab. As for Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr, he did not participate in his killing. One must refrain from delving into the disputes among the Companions and believe that they were mujtahids (exercised independent judgment). As for the claim about capturing the Prophet's (peace be upon him) daughters, it is a lie and a fabrication.
