Does a believer have a daily program to be saved from sins, both major and minor, and does a Muslim have control over minor sins?

A believer's time is filled with obligatory acts such as prayers, fasting, and honoring parents, as well as supererogatory acts like night prayers and reading the Quran. The greatest deterrent from sins is mindfulness of Allah, fearing Him, and remembering death and the horrors of the Day of Judgment. If a servant falls into sins, the path to salvation is sincere repentance from every sin, as Allah Almighty says: "And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed," and following up a bad deed with a good one, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "And follow up a bad deed with a good one that will wipe it out." Allah's mercy is vast, so whoever avoids major sins, or comes with sins nearly filling the earth without associating partners with Him, Allah will forgive him.
