The Mudarib (agent) is an agent on behalf of the capital owners, and the capital in his possession is a trust. The Mudarib is not entitled to profit from his work unless authorized by the principal. If the capital owners permit him to take a certain percentage, then it is permissible; otherwise, it is not lawful for him to take it.
