Is it true that the Hanbali school is lenient in accepting Hadith, and follows many weak Hadiths?

The school of thought of Imam Ahmad bases its legal reasoning on five principles: the text from the Qur’an and authentic Sunnah; the fatwas of the Companions, provided they are not contradictory; choosing what is closest to the Qur’an and Sunnah when the Companions differ; accepting mursal and weak hadith (those that fall under the category of hasan or lightly weak, not munkar or batil); and finally, qiyas (analogical reasoning). Weak and mursal hadiths are acted upon by the general body of jurists, as other imams have preferred weak hadiths over qiyas. Therefore, it is incorrect to say that the Hanbali school is lenient in this regard to the exclusion of others.
