It is forbidden to undo magic with magic because it is disbelief (kufr). It is not permissible to seek help from sorcerers, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade going to them and believing them. It is permissible to undo magic with legal ruqyah, prophetic supplications, and the Holy Quran, such as Surah Al-Fatiha, Ayatul-Kursi, Al-Mu'awwidhat (the protection surahs), and the like. Resorting to sorcerers to undo magic is forbidden because magic is polytheism (shirk), and the sorcerer is a disbeliever. Going to soothsayers or diviners and believing them is disbelief that expels one from the faith.
