What is the ruling on translating specialized foreign scientific books into Arabic and publishing them for free on the Internet to contribute to the dissemination of knowledge and the development of society, knowing that these books have foreign copyrights and no license for translation will be obtained?

Intellectual property rights are protected for their owners, and it is not permissible to infringe upon them, by a decision of the Islamic Fiqh Academy and others. Accordingly, it is not permissible to translate books if their owners prohibit it, for scientific advancement is not achieved by infringing upon the rights of others.
