Does the word "anzala" (sent down) in the verse: (And He sent down for you of the cattle eight pairs) indicate that cattle came from outside the Earth, as in the verse: (And We sent down iron, in which there is great might), and what is the ruling on one who denies this?

The exegetes differed regarding the meaning of the sending down of livestock (al-an'am) in His (Allah's) saying: "And He sent down for you of the livestock eight pairs," into several opinions, the most famous of which are:

1. The sending down (inzal) means "creation" or "He decreed and predestined."

2. That the sending down is metaphorical, because livestock live on plants that grow with rain sent down from the sky.

3. That the sending down is literal, as livestock descend from the loins of fathers into the wombs of mothers, and then descend from the wombs of mothers to the earth. This last opinion is the most apparent because it keeps the word according to its linguistic meaning and does not contradict the other opinions; rather, it adds to their meaning.

As for the opinion that livestock or iron were sent down from the sky, it is a weak opinion with no evidence.
