Is the ruling on one who uses a computer for sinful acts that their punishment is doubled, and is it considered as ruling by other than what Allah has revealed, because the contract included a condition that violates Allah’s ruling?

Fatwa no. 66841 discusses the ruling on subscribing to programs and websites with impermissible conditions, and it is related to Fatwa no. 63578. As for the ruling on using computers and modern means, it depends on their usage: if they are used for good and permissible things, there is no sin; but if they are used for falsehood and forbidden things, then they are forbidden, as the means take the rulings of their ends. This is not a ruling other than what Allah has revealed, but rather it is a disobedience. Any condition that contradicts the Shari'ah in a contract is void, and it may invalidate the contract itself. For a detailed ruling on judging by other than what Allah has revealed, please refer to Fatwa no. 48622 and Fatwa no. 6572.
