What is the religious ruling on swearing by divorce in a state of extreme anger without acting upon that oath, and is it permissible to resume marital relations with the wife after repenting and regretting this oath?

We see that swearing by divorce is a conditional divorce, and that the sayings and actions of an angry person are binding upon him in their effects and consequences unless he loses his awareness and consciousness.

Regarding conjugal relations with the wife after the oath, if the divorce occurred and it was the first or second divorce, then conjugal relations with the wife during her waiting period (iddah) are considered a revocation of the divorce. However, if it was the third divorce, it is not permissible to revoke it unless she marries another man willingly, and then that husband divorces her. We advise consulting the Sharia courts.
