Is the tree from which Allah forbade Adam to eat currently present in Paradise?

The tree from which Allah forbade Adam to eat is the Tree of Eternity (Shajarat al-Khuld). Ibn Kathir believes it might be the same tree mentioned in the hadith: "Indeed, in Paradise, there is a tree under whose shade a rider would travel for a hundred years without traversing it, the Tree of Eternity." If this correspondence is correct, then the tree exists currently, and there is no impediment for the people of Paradise to benefit from it, because the purpose of mentioning it is to encourage entry into Paradise, and there is nothing forbidden in Paradise.
