Does a triple divorce take effect with the saying: "By triple divorce, we will not separate tonight when your son arrives, and this is the last night in our home"?

If a man swears by triple divorce to separate from his wife when his son arrives, this is a conditional divorce that takes effect upon the occurrence of the condition—the son's arrival. This is the view of the majority of scholars. Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah holds the view that an expiation for an oath (kaffarat yamin) is required if he did not intend divorce, or a single divorce if he did intend it.
