What is the ruling on a teacher being preoccupied during their original classes at school with other duties such as activities or counseling?

The teacher's primary role is teaching, but other activities should not be underestimated due to their beneficial impact. If the teacher is assigned these tasks by the administration, there is no harm in it. If they volunteer for them, they are to be commended, provided it does not affect the students' right to teaching. However, if these activities are not important, or if they are overdone at the expense of their classroom performance, it is a neglect of duty and trust. Sheikh Ibn Jibreen emphasized the importance of cooperation in performing school activities, such as preparing articles and activities, and the necessity of expending effort and time on them, considering it a form of cooperation in righteousness and piety.
