What is the ruling on leading people in prayer when the Imam is absent, while wearing Western clothing?

A person should prepare for prayer with the best clothes and the most complete appearance, as Allah Almighty says: "O Children of Adam! Take your adornment at every Masjid." The more complete the preparation for prayer, the greater the reward. Nevertheless, it is permissible to pray in Western attire (trousers and a short shirt) if it covers the 'awrah and does not define it clearly. However, if one or both of them define the 'awrah due to excessive tightness, prayer in them is disliked.
