What is the ruling of Islamic law regarding a partner who betrayed trust and fled with a large sum of money belonging to people, causing great harm to the other partner? Is it permissible for the wronged partner to recover part of the money, and is it permissible to kill him according to Islamic law, given that this is the third betrayal, even if the previous times involved small amounts?

Allah Almighty has forbidden treachery and commanded trustworthiness, and He has promised the betrayer disgrace on the Day of Resurrection, where a banner will be erected for him, proclaiming: "This is the treachery of so-and-so." Killing a betrayer is not permissible except in one of three cases specified by the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. The execution of the punishment (had) is the responsibility of the ruler or his deputy, not individuals. The aggrieved party must resort to the Sharia judiciary. As for recovering money from the betrayer, it is permissible to take it, even by force or without his knowledge, provided it does not exceed what is rightfully due, and provided that no greater harm results from it.
