Is it permissible to harm girls by insulting, cursing, mocking, and perpetrating violence against them in mixed-gender schools, streets, markets, and buses, and by harassing them, in order to keep them at home? And is it permissible for a man to frown, get angry, and speak in an embarrassing manner to a woman's face, and to refuse to help her under the pretext of the impermissibility of mixing? And is it forbidden for a man to look at women without lust?

It is not permissible to condemn a woman who adorns herself immodestly if it involves insults, mockery, or harm. Rather, condemnation must be with gentleness, kindness, and guidance. Mixing between genders in universities is forbidden, but may be permissible due to necessity or need, with legitimate Islamic controls. Helping a woman who adorns herself immodestly is permissible as long as it does not aid her in her immodest adornment. It is permissible to shun her if her benefit is hoped for. It is permissible to look at a woman when dealing with her for a need, without lust, provided there is no fear of temptation and the gaze does not exceed the extent of the need.
