Does the half-brother inherit, and what are the cases in which he is entitled to inheritance?

The half-brother from the father's side inherits by consensus unless he is excluded. He is among the 'Asabat (agnatic heirs), and he is excluded by the father, the son, the grandson, and the full-brother. As for the half-brother from the mother's side, he is excluded by the father, the grandfather, the child, and the child of the son, no matter how low. The term 'child' here includes both males and females. The half-brothers from the mother's side are among the Ashab al-Furud (Qur'anic heirs).
