Is it permissible to wash a canvas with Qur'anic verses woven onto it in a washing machine or by hand? And is it permissible to dispose of the water resulting from its washing into the sewers, knowing that the verses are woven with threads and not written with ink?

There is no impediment to washing fabric upon which Quranic verses are written in a washing machine to remove dust, if washing it this way makes it cleaner. This is not considered an insult as long as the intention is good. Al-Halimi stated that part of glorifying Allah Almighty and His Messenger, peace be upon him, is to dust off the Mus'haf (copy of the Quran) and the books of Sunnah. Some scholars consider it reprehensible to write the Quran on mosque walls because it exposes it to dust. It is preferable not to pour the wash water into the drains.
