Is it permissible to give zakat to a poor female relative, knowing that she will give the money to her son, who commits evil and forbidden acts?

If a female relative is eligible for zakat due to poverty or debt, it is permissible to give her zakat, and this is better, as it combines zakat with maintaining kinship ties. She should be advised not to enable her son to spend money on unlawful things, and to buy what she needs herself. She may conceal the money from him to spend on herself and those she supports. The son should also be advised and invited to Allah. If it is not possible to conceal the money from him, the mother may delegate someone to buy what she needs with the money. Some scholars are of the opinion that it is permissible to give her zakat in the form of food and clothing if the son would seize the money and spend it on unlawful things.
