The answer

The emission of urine does not affect the validity of ghusl (ritual bath), but one must perform ablution (wudu') for prayer. However, if janabah (state of ritual impurity requiring ghusl) occurs during ghusl, one must resume the ghusl with the intention of purification from both menstruation and janabah simultaneously. Alternatively, if the ghusl was completed, it is valid only for menstruation. Jurists differed regarding one who intended to perform ghusl for one of the two ritual impurities but not the other: some are of the view that it suffices for both, while others are of the view that it suffices only for what was intended, and this latter opinion is more cautious.
