How can my friend repent from intentionally and negligently abandoning prayer and fasting, knowing that she feels guilty, wishes to repent, and dreams of the Angel of Death?

This woman is in grave danger and at the threshold of disbelief by abandoning prayer. Some scholars have gone as far as to consider the abandonment of prayer due to laziness an act of disbelief. The Companions considered abandoning prayer an act of disbelief, and scholars have agreed that abandoning a single prayer is worse than committing adultery or drinking alcohol.

If she feels remorse, she must hasten to repent, fulfilling its three conditions: sincere regret, immediately abandoning the sin by promptly praying, and resolving never to return to abandoning it. This also applies to fasting.

As for her being a "tomboy" (buwaya), this is an additional sin, and she must repent from imitating men, an act for which the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed the doer.

These frightening dreams are an invitation to awaken, introspect, and hasten to repent before she is afflicted with a wretched life in this world, in the barzakh (interim period after death), and in the Hereafter.
