Is a person excused for their ignorance or interpretation, or is one who believes that the Scale of Deeds and the Scrolls of Deeds are not real considered an unbeliever?

The Balance and the Scrolls with which the deeds of servants will be weighed on the Day of Resurrection are established by the Qur’an, the Sunnah, and the consensus of the Ahl al-Sunnah. Ignorance and interpretation prevent declaring one a disbeliever, so whoever interprets the Balance and the Scrolls is not judged to be a disbeliever. However, denying them—a denial of falsehood and rejection after having knowledge of them—is major disbelief, because their texts are definitive in authenticity and clear in meaning. Speaking about declaring someone a disbeliever is serious and is referred back to the people of knowledge.
