The answer

"There is no problem in praying in a room that has a bathroom on its side, because its presence on the side does not affect it. The evidence for the permissibility of prayer is the general statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): ""The earth has been made a mosque and a purification for me, so wherever a man is when the time for prayer comes, let him pray."" What is prohibited is praying inside the bathroom itself, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) forbade praying in seven places, including the bathroom.
