Who was the Companion who heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) express his desire for Paradise on the Day of Badr, so he threw away some dates he had in his hand and said, "Splendid! Splendid! There is nothing between me and entering Paradise except that these people kill me," then he fought until he was killed?

The Companion in question is Umair ibn Al-Humam ibn Al-Jamuh Al-Ansari As-Sulami Al-Badri. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "By Him in Whose Hand is my soul, no man fights them today and is killed, patiently, seeking Allah's reward, advancing and not retreating, except that Allah will admit him into Paradise." When Umair heard that, he threw away the dates he had in his hand and fought until he was killed.
