What is the religious ruling regarding the statement "You are divorced by three" when said in a state of extreme anger towards the wife after she called her husband insane?

Anger does not prevent the occurrence of divorce as long as the person is aware of what he is saying. The majority of scholars hold that if a husband makes his wife's divorce conditional upon something, then upon the fulfillment of that condition, his wife is divorced, whether he intended divorce, threat, or prevention, and that a divorce pronounced three times counts as three. Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah is of the view that if he did not intend divorce but rather a threat or prevention, then no divorce occurs, but rather an expiation for an oath becomes binding. And if he intended divorce with the pronouncement of three, then it counts as one. Therefore, if you were aware of what you were saying when you made the divorce conditional, then your wife is divorced three times if she speaks to you in the manner you forbade her from.
