Is it permissible for a woman to pray Tarawih after having prayed Isha and slept?

The Tarawih prayer is part of the night vigil (Qiyam al-Layl), and its time is from after the 'Isha prayer until the break of dawn. It is preferable for it to be performed after a period of sleep, and in the last third of the night.

Some exegetes have interpreted Allah's saying: "Indeed, the rising [Qiyam] of the night is more forceful in impact and more upright in speech" (Surat al-Muzammil, 73:6) as referring to rising for prayer after having slept.

Allah Almighty has also praised those "whose sides forsake their beds" (Surat As-Sajdah, 32:16). The night vigil (Qiyam al-Layl) is highly recommended and is not exclusive to Ramadan. Many hadiths have been narrated concerning it, including the hadith of Mu'adh ibn Jabal: "Shall I not guide you to the gates of goodness... and a man's prayer in the middle of the night."
