How can a Quranic text be dealt with that obliges seeking the Prophet's forgiveness and apologizing to him after his death, and how can this meaning be translated?
The aforementioned obligation is void, and the use of the noble verse: ﴿And if, when they wronged themselves, they had come to you and asked forgiveness of Allah and the Messenger had asked forgiveness for them, they would have found Allah Accepting of repentance and Merciful.﴾ [An-Nisa: 64] as proof for it is also void. The invalidity of this ruling should be explained to those for whom you are tasked with translating, and they should be convinced not to translate and disseminate it. If they do not respond, then it is not permissible to translate it, as it would be assisting in the spread of falsehood.
