The answer

If a traveler on an airplane is unable to combine prayers by performing jama‘ taqdeem (combining and praying earlier) or jama‘ ta’kheer (combining and praying later), then he should pray on the airplane standing if he is able. Otherwise, he should pray sitting, making gestures for bowing (ruku‘) and prostration (sujood), with his prostration being lower than his bowing. He should face the and turn with it if possible. If not, his prayer is valid regardless of the direction he is facing, provided he faced the Qibla at the time of commencing the prayer (). It is possible to request a place for prayer from the flight attendants at the appropriate time.
