What is the ruling on accompanying a group that says: "We have traversed a sea, and the prophets stood at its shore," and repeats, "The world is a play, and we are the actors, and God is the director," and justifies God's not granting victory to the Ummah by saying that "God wants to create a dramatic plot in this world"? And do these statements constitute disbelief (kufr)?

You must distance yourself from the misguided who prefer themselves over the prophets and messengers, because they have deviated from the religion of the messengers, peace be upon them. So, whoever prefers anyone other than the prophets over them is misguided and doomed. Sheikh al-Islam emphasized that the Messenger is superior to the Prophet, and the Prophet is superior to the Wali (saint or close servant of God), and that the best of the Awliya (plural of Wali) are those who follow the prophets. Therefore, be keen to stay away from these misguided individuals, and seek good company that glorifies the Sunnah (definition) and adheres to it.
