How can one repent from adultery with a woman that resulted in pregnancy, while fearing scandal and informing the family, and what should be done regarding the child born from this relationship?

The questioner must sincerely repent of his grave sin and commit to performing good deeds, for good deeds expiate evil ones. The pregnancy resulting from the relationship is not a legitimate child of his, as the fluid of the fornicator is null and void; it does not establish lineage or inheritance, nor does it entail any obligations such as financial support. It is not permissible for him to claim or attribute the child to himself. He should abandon this matter, content himself with sincere repentance, and conceal his deed in compliance with the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Whoever commits any of these abominable deeds should conceal himself."
