Does frequent complaining and grumbling about a tribulation indicate a lack of patience and diminish one's reward?

Frequent complaints to people due to lack of patience diminish or invalidate the reward. The complaint of the afflicted, whether by their actions or words, contradicts and invalidates patience. Grumbling and discontent over a calamity lead to what is unlawful (haram). A servant's share of a calamity is what it produces for them: whoever is content, theirs is contentment; and whoever is discontent, theirs is discontentment. If a calamity leads to discontentment and disbelief, the person is written in the register of the doomed. If it leads to panic and negligence, they are written in the register of the negligent. If it leads to complaining and lack of patience, they are written in the register of the wronged. If it leads to objecting to Allah, then one has knocked on the door of heresy or entered it. If it leads to patience and steadfastness, they are written in the register of the patient. If it leads to contentment with Allah, they are written in the register of the content. If it leads to praise and gratitude, they are written in the register of the grateful. If it leads to love and longing to meet their Lord, they are written in the register of the loving and sincere. However, informing others about a calamity with the intention of seeking help and consultation is permissible and does not detract from patience.
